Giving

The Health and Sport Sciences (HSS) division at MBU offers students many opportunities to hone their skills with real world experiences.  HSS faculty and students plan a golf tournament annually.  This year the tournament will benefit the St. Louis Cardinals Care Foundation and the professional development of HSS students at MBU.

Do you like to golf?  Register now for the MBU Health and Sport Sciences Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 14 at Gateway National Golf Links.  Find more details HERE.

In the coming months, we will continue to highlight different ways that you can support MBU.  Hopefully you will find one that speaks to you specifically.  You can choose to donate any time by going online or mailing in a check.  Contact Jon Vestal, Director of Development, if you have any specific questions about giving.

Alumni Spotlight: Tracy McNeil (B.A. Psychology '89)

"I thank God for the opportunity he gave me to attend a great Christian college.  It has afforded me many opportunities in my life and set the stage for others in my family to go after their degree.  I was the first in my family to graduate from college . . . and that is pretty cool!  Thanks MBU!"

Student Activities: I was on the homecoming court my freshman year.  I was a part of the Psychology and Business clubs.  Because I worked 20-30 hrs/week and had to maintain a high GPA to keep my Trustee’s Scholarship, I really wasn’t able to get super involved in clubs or organizations.  I did attend a lot of individual events though and had a great time with the other students.  Oh, and can you count ping-pong and spades as student activities?  If so, then I participated in both of those on a pretty regular basis in the student lounge.

Why she chose to attend MBU:  I wanted to attend an SBC College in Missouri and decided that staying close to home was best for me.  Of course, the fact that I received the Trustee’s Scholarship didn’t hurt either.

Favorite MBU Professor:  Rick Maclin.  I learned a lot in his classes . . . plus he made them quite entertaining.

Favorite Memory: Some of my favorite memories probably come from the short time that I stayed in the dorms on campus.  That was my first time “out of the house” and hanging out and getting to know the other students was just awesome!

Occupation:  Real estate broker.

Hobbies:  Golf, singing, reading, and hanging out with family.

Family:  Husband, Mike.  Six stepchildren (ages 21-35).  Four grandchildren (ages 3-9) and one on the way.
