The magazine arrived in most homes last week. It featured several alumni entrepreneurs, including a photographer, florist, doctor, franchise developer, and restaurant owner. Did you receive the magazine? If not, submit your address update at www.mobap.edu/alumni.
MBU alumni are putting their quality education to good use. They are doing things they love. We know there are more of you over-achievers out there. What are you doing? Have you received any honors or awards lately? Let us know! The e-newsletter and magazine are vehicles we would like to use to spotlight your achievements.
We've planned a new series of events for alumni - Spartan Summer Nights. Alumni receive discount or free admission to several of the events at popular local attractions. Re-connect with your former classmates at the Spartan Summer Nights at the Magic House on July 21. Bring your kids or your grandkids for this free night! Over 200 people are already registered for this event...have you made your reservation? For more information about these alumni events, go to www.mobap.edu/alumni.

Alumni Spotlight: Terry Baylor, Computer and Information Systems '93
Student Activities: Varsity Baseball, Junior Varsity Basketball, Student Government, Gospel Choir, Spirit Wing, Who's Who in America, and Missouri Congressional Leadership Council
Why he chose to attend MBU: I intentionally came to MBU on a Baseball Scholarship. I had dreams of playing in the Major Leagues and being the next Ozzie Smith.
Favorite MBU Professors: Dr. David Parker, my computer instructor, was my favorite professor. I also had two primary mentors while I was a student at MBU: Kerry Brooks and the solid-as-a-rock Dr. Arlen Dykstra. I am forever grateful for all they have poured in to my life.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory at MBU was an achievement banquet that Kerry Brooks and myself co-hosted, and we were doing some version of stand-up comedy. We were so proud of the Spartan ice sculpture and how fabulous of a guy it was, and I remember making the statement “and it even sweats.” Seriously I must say that my time with Spirit Wing is the difference maker in my life. I learned so many of the skills that I use in leadership and ministry still today.
Occupation: I am a Technical Services Manager at Washington University where I oversee the technical operations for the Electronic Health Record system utilized by both the Washington University School of Medicine and BJC physicians.
Hobbies: My favorite pastime hobby is golf. I try to fit it in when I can.
Family: I am married to Shamika Baylor who is also an MBU alumni (1998). We are blessed with 3 children: Elizabeth 7, Terrance II 5, and Noah 3. We are home-schoolers and feel that God has called us into this form of ministry. Every day as we learn more about our children the Lord is also teaching us more about Him. Keep us in your prayers.
He also wanted to share: I still serve at my home church, Faith Miracle Temple, where I am the Worship Pastor. This is truly the desire of my heart, pursuing the heart of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - being an example for my family, showing my passion and love for Him. I am so proud of the recent worship project we released "Praises To The King." If you are looking for passion-filled worship please visit www.fmtvoicesoffaith.com. God Bless!
