Application Changes

We have had some changes in the application and decision process for four programs at SLU: Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and the Honors Program.

Physical Therapy: Physical Therapy applications will only be accepted through December 1, 2012. Applications for admission to the Physical Therapy program received after December 1, 2012 will not be reviewed. Highly qualified students (3.85+ cumulative GPA and 30 ACT/1330 SAT math + critical reading) applying for the fall 2013 term will be considered for early admission to the Physical Therapy program. Qualifying students will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and notified accordingly. All other candidates will be notified of their Physical Therapy admission decision in early February. Students do not need to apply separately to Physical Therapy, but they must indicate it as their intended major on the freshmen application for admission.

Student Spotlight

Each month we will highlight a current student to learn about their path to SLU, involvement in the community and goals upon graduation!

Giedre Milutyte
Business Administration, Leadership and Change Management
Class of 2014

Milutyte calls Cleveland her hometown, but after two years feels right at home in St. Louis. After a friend introduced her to SLU during her senior year, Milutyte stayed on campus for an overnight visit, and immediately fell in love with the University. She describes the atmosphere as, “extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming.” She marvels at the fact that the professors know each student’s name, and believes SLU wants its students to succeed. Giedre appreciates the resources available to SLU students, and found them extremely helpful when she switched her major this past summer. As the recipient of multiple departmental scholarships, Milutyte has managed to keep her tuition cost low, and has continued to find ways to keep her education affordable. She claims her greatest challenge at SLU has been finding time to do everything she wants. Geidre is involved in Greek life, SLU’s Women in Aviation chapter, Association of Parks College Students, Billiken Buddies, and the Wilderness Adventure Club. After graduation, Geidre would like to visit New Zealand and some day combine her two greatest passions, outdoor adventure and aviation, and open her own business.
